Chemical injection quill manufacturers in Rajasthan, Haryana, Himachal Pradesh, Punjab, Uttarakhand, and Madhya Pradesh

Top Chemical Injection Quill Manufacturers in North India

Chemical Injection Quills are used to inject chemicals pumped by metering pumps into the turbulent flow zone of high pressure water or steam lines. For example, Boiler Chemicals require an injection quill to disperse the chemical directly into the water stream or into the center of a feed water tank or deaerator. For more inform information, download the product bulletin.

What pressure can Chemical Injection Quills be used to?
Stainless Steel and Carpenter 20-Cb3 can be used to 3,000 psi. PVC and Kynar Chemical Injection Quills can be used to 150 psi.

This chemical-injection quill injects corrosive chemicals into your pipeline without damaging the port or pipe. Injection quill ensures even distribution of chemical in the center of the pipe.

Flow direction is indicated on the body to ensure proper positioning. Standard 3-1/4″ quill length fits most pipes, but can be shortened for small diameter pipes; call our Application Specialists for details.

FEATURES OF INJECTION QUILLS:

  • Type 316 Stainless SteelAlloy 20, and Hastelloy C276 quills are suitable for high pressure, high temperature applications.
  • Simple to use ½”, ¾”, or 1” MNPT male process connection and ½”, ¾”, or 1” MNPT male chemical inlet connection.
  • The QC series of the Eddington injection quills come with a built-in check valve to prevent back flow of water or steam through the nozzle and into the chemical line.
  • The crack pressure (amount of psi required to open the check valve) on the QC series of injection quills is 20 psi.
  • For applications that do no require a check valve, the QB series of the Eddington injection quills come without a check valve.
  • All of the Eddington injection quills come with two machined flat surfaces on external portion of nozzle so a wrench can be used during installation.
  • The QC and QB injection quills come with the telltale V notch and witness mark to ensure proper nozzle alignment with process steam for proper dispersal of injected chemical.
  • Standard quill length is 2 3/4″ long but custom lengths up to 24″ are available. For additional lengths please add the quill length desired to the end of the Eddington part number (e.g. QCFM-316-050-18).

Application Fields

Chemical injection is used in many application such as injecting additives, chemical/bio treatment, and removal/separation process. To mention a few, below are examples of chemicals used in the oil/gas injection process:

Methanol

Used as hydrate inhibitors. Hydrate solidifies and can cause flow restriction or plugging in wells and flowlines.

Corrosion inhibitor

Used to mitigate the corrosion in wells and pipelines to reduce downtime.

H2S scavenger

Used to treat oil/gas in reducing H2S levels, to reduce health risk and corrosion.

The injection quill could come in various configuration, connections and fittings:  From a simple fabricated tube/probe to an integrated assembly with isolation valves and non-return valves.  As part of our specialty, we manufacture an integrated chemical injection quill, complete with probe, double block & bleed assembly (2 isolation valves + 1 bleed valve) and an integral non-return check valve, all in one compact assembly. Looking at the illustration above, this injection quill can also be converted into a sampling quill by a redesign on the probe and without the integral check valve. Sampling quill is used to safely take out fluid samples from the process line for analytical or laboratory purpose.

This type of quill is mounted into the pipeline through a fitting in such a way that the quill/probe is inserted and extends down to the center of the process line. The other end is connected to the chemical feed line by pipe or tubing connections all the way back to the chemical injection skid or chemical Dosing packages that house the pump and chemical tank.
